ADMISSION TO THE SCHOOL
An interview with both the parents and the
pupil is necessary. Application forms are available on request and
must
be accompanied by the registration fee. As the co-operation between home
and school is fundamental
to a successful education, it is hoped that
both mother and father will attend. At the same time the class teacher
will meet the child. Where children
come from other schools parents are required to bring previous reports
and books.
An interview is also arranged with the school bursar to consider financial
questions.

FINANCIAL NOTES:
- The school requires payment of full fees during any leave of absence.
- We offer a 10% discount on fees for families with older siblings at other Waldorf schools, on written application.
- Discounts for second and third children will apply only on written application, but this sibling discount will not be denied to any family who applies.
- There is no discount for fees paid in advance.
- Piano fees: For children taking piano lessons, payments made to the school will be allocated first against school fees and then for piano lessons. Should school fees not be up to date, the piano teacher will be advised and piano lessons must be discontinued.
- Class camps: Provision has been made for one class camp for classes 3 to 10. Should the projected camp exceed budget for that class, charges may be added to school fees, or parents could fundraise for the extra amount needed, whichever is preferred by them.
- Stationery specific to a class: Class-specific stationery or materials not covered under the monthly sundry general stationery charge will be billed as an extra charge.
- All payments received by the school will be allocated first to school fees and thereafter to any extra expenses, such as therapies.
- School directory - one per family will be charged as an extra item, although more can be ordered.
|
- Exclusion procedure:
- After one month of non-payment, the bursar speaks to the parents and should come away with a payment plan agreed upon between her and the parents for covering the backlog as well as the way forward (30 days default). This to be confirmed in writing
- If no agreement for payment is reached, or if it is broken (i.e. second month of default), then bursar, one trustee and one college member will meet with the parents to find a way forward. The agreements reached at this meeting are documented and sent to the parents (60 days default).
- Should the agreement reached in (2) above be breached, then the Bursar prepares a letter (sent by registered mail and email) notifying the parents that the learner will be excluded at the end of the current term and any outstanding fees will be handed over for collection (90 days).
